10.1 HotDoc appointment booking

Online appointment bookings are managed through HotDoc (a third-party healthcare booking platform). When you book through HotDoc, your information is collected and stored by HotDoc in accordance with their privacy policy. LDS receives booking information from HotDoc for the purpose of managing your appointment.

10.2 Payment processors

Payments are processed by our payment providers. LDS does not store full credit card details on our systems.

10.3 Social media platforms

If you interact with us on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram), any information you provide is subject to the privacy policies of those platforms.

11. Marketing communications

Where you have consented, we may send you marketing communications about our services, educational content and practice news.

In accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth):

  • You will only receive marketing communications where you have opted in
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any communication
  • Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect appointment reminders or service-related communications

Marketing communications will comply with Australia guidelines for advertising a regulated health service, and other applicable regulatory standards.

12. Retention of information

We retain your personal and health information in accordance with:

  • The Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) — health records are generally retained for a minimum of 7 years from the last clinical contact for adult patients, and until 25 years of age for records of minors
  • Australian Taxation Office requirements for financial records (typically 5 years)
  • Our legal and professional obligations

When information is no longer required, we securely destroy or de-identify it.

13. Children’s information

Our services and website are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parent or guardian consent.

In line with the AHPRA Higher-Risk Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures Guidelines, we do not provide cosmetic injectable treatments to patients under 18 years of age.

14. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date (APP 13)
  • Withdraw consent to specific uses (where applicable)
